Ted Kennedy endorsing Obama  —  WASHINGTON — Senator Edward M. Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama for president tomorrow, breaking his year-long neutrality to send a powerful signal of where the legendary Massachusetts Democrat sees the party going — and who he thinks is best to lead it.

My Vote  —  Over a year ago and many times since, I wrote that I could give no endorsement, because I had honestly not made up my mind about which candidate to support.  I also told the CapQ community that if I did make a decision, I would announce it as soon as I made it so that they knew where I stood.

Clinton unhinged: In the name of “love”  —  Bill Clinton is a sick puppy.  I didn't say it.  His own wife says he's sleep-deprived and so driven by “love” that he can't control himself on the campaign trail.  —  Love for her?  Or love for his own indignant voice and for preservation of his legacy/dynasty?

Obama for the Democrats  —  After seven years of George Bush's failed presidency, after five years of unnecessary war in Iraq, America is ready to write a new narrative.  All candidates favor the now-bromidic slogan: change.  Only one candidate truly embraces the yearnings this word represents.

UCL professor: Terror ‘Palestinians’ moral right'  —  In a lengthy and fiery debate at Oxford University over the weekend, the student union conceded Israel's “right to exist” by just over 100 votes.  —  Proposing the motion “This House believes that the State of Israel has a right to exist” …

A racist Republican rag wrote Barack Obama “rejiggers” the race  —  No, wait.  It's Time magazine.  As explained in the Urban Dictionary, “jig” is a derogatory word used to insult African-Americans.  —  The headline has since been changed, but Grand Old Partisan saved the original version …

Waving Goodbye to Hegemony  —  Turn on the TV today, and you could be forgiven for thinking it's 1999.  Democrats and Republicans are bickering about where and how to intervene, whether to do it alone or with allies and what kind of world America should lead.

Caught On Tape: Romney Accuses McCain Of Lying, Then Balks  —  Mitt Romney was caught on tape Sunday saying his GOP rival John McCain was “lying” about his position on the Iraq war, before quickly telling a reporter he regretted his words.  The Arizona senator was merely “dishonest,” Romney said.

McCain Warns: “There Will Be Other Wars”  —  The presidential candidate who sang “Bomb bomb Iran” is already looking towards the war after the war in Iraq.  —  Sen. John McCain told a crowd of supporters on Sunday, “It's a tough war we're in.  It's not going to be over right away.
