G.O.P. Captures House, but Falls Short in Senate  —  Republicans captured control of the House of Representatives on Tuesday and expanded their voice in the Senate, riding a wave of voter discontent as they dealt a setback to President Obama just two years after his triumphal victory.

Exit Polls: Voters give low marks to both parties  —  (CNN) - Voters may not be happy with the Democratic Party.  But they aren't too thrilled with the GOP either, according to early exit polls.  —  Democrats have a 10-point favorability gap: 43 percent of voters have a positive opinion of the party, while 53 percent aren't thrilled.

LUNTZ CALLS IT FOR REID  —  GOP polling guru Frank Luntz is predicting Republicans will win seven Senate seats and 50 House spots, based on exit polls he had seen.  On a conference call with associates from K Street, Luntz also said he thinks Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will win reelection.

Prop. 19 headed to defeat, exit polls show  —  California voters appear to have rejected Prop.  19, an effort to legalize marijuana and allow local governments to tax the sale of the drug.  —  Prop. 19 received national attention, but relatively little money was spent on the campaign.

Feingold campaign manager: It ain't over  —  Feingold's campaign manager George Aldrich told the crowd in Middleton that only 40 percent of the vote has been reported.  —  “Russ is down by 80,000 votes, but...up to 1.4 million votes haven't been counted,” he told the crowd.
